Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win inspected the health facilities in Pathein on Saturday.

At the Nursing School, the Union Minister viewed classrooms, the computer room, library, skill lab, hostels and dining hall, and met teachers, staff and students. He discussed upgrading the school and improving teaching facilities.

The Union Minister also inspected medical departments and wards at Pathein People's Hospital and instructed officials to improve healthcare services, strengthen dengue prevention and ensure adequate medical supplies.

Later, he met with health officials and hospital staff and stressed the importance of improving public healthcare, vaccination, disease prevention, food and drug safety, and traditional medicine services. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the 16-bed Traditional Medicine Hospital in Pathein and inspected healthcare services and hospital upgrading works.

Providing free educational materials helps reduce the burden on families and encourages higher school attendance. We really appreciate for the contribution of the donors."Aye Mu, Middle School Teacher said "The donation program plays a key role in supporting teaching and learning activities. Students are more motivated when they are provided with sufficient learning materials and a supportive environment."Enrollment for all grades will be conducted from May 25 to 31, including weekends, as part of nationwide preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year. It is learnt that students will receive free textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and uniforms, with no enrollment fees required. The 12th International Day of Yoga in Nay Pyi Taw is observed on Sunday, under the global theme, "Yoga for Wellness, Wisdom, and World Peace".Prime Minister U Nyo Saw attended the event held at Water Fountain Square in the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Park. The event included demonstration of various yoga postures, and common yoga protocol.  Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, and a holistic approach to health and well being. The United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014, designated June 21 as the 'International Day of Yoga' recognizing the benefits of practicing Yoga for holistic approach to health and well-being of the world's population.The Embassy of India in Myanmar, alongside the Ministry of Religious Affairs and local yoga enthusiasts, traditionally hosts collective events and guided sessions across the capital.mitv

On Friday, Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, together with the officials, inspected the completion status of the recreation centre and 6-storey building, as well as the designated site for the construction of a 4-storey staff housing within Meikhtila University compound and gave instructions to ensure structural resilience, compliance with standards and timely completion of the project.At Meikhtila Education Degree College, the Union Minister inspected the designated sites to construct a canteen and stadium and provided necessary guidance.
