Turkiye's navy conducted a military exercise off the coast of Antalya, in an area of the eastern Mediterranean.

The exercise also known as Blue Homeland-26 aimed to evaluate the operational command and control effectiveness of the naval forces’ subordinate commands.

The naval drill also conveyed diplomatic and political messages beyond mere military parameters. It reflects Türkiye’s resolute stance on military deterrence, the preservation of peace, and the protection of Turkish maritime rights and interests, while also showcasing the capabilities of its naval power.

Missiles struck a petrochemical complex in the eastern Saudi city of Jubail on Tuesday, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency. The attack targeted a sprawling industrial area that includes the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and other petrochemical facilities.

The strike caused a fire at the SABIC plants. The attacks occurred hours after similar installations in Iran were reportedly hit. Jubail, located in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, is one of the world’s largest industrial cities, producing steel, gasoline, petrochemicals, lubricating oil, and chemical fertilizers.

Pakistani police destroyed opium poppy plantations spanning approximately six hectares in the northwestern Mohmand. The operation aimed to curb narcotics production in the area.  Authorities said the operation took place in the Shagai area, covering around 60,700 square metres.

Mohmand is a remote tribal district where farmers often grew opium due to low returns from crops like wheat and a lack of basic infrastructure, including electricity, education, and water.  The operation formed part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug production, while local residents requested alternative support such as seeds, livestock, and legal options to cultivate opium for medicinal purposes.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Monday that its intelligence chief Majid Khademi was killed in U.S.-Israeli strikes. Khademi was "martyred in the criminal terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy... at dawn Monday," the IRGC said in a statement quoted by local media.

The United Nations said that its teams operating in the Gaza Strip are continuing efforts to reduce the risks posed by explosive ordnance and remnants of war, amid mounting dangers threatening civilians and humanitarian workers across the territory.

The statement came on the occasion of the International Day for Mine Awareness, observed annually on April 4, as teams from the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) continue working in a highly complex and dangerous field environment.

Joel Fournier, Senior Field Security Adviser for UNOPS and UNMAS, said the work of both entities in Gaza plays a “critical enabling role” in supporting humanitarian operations across the Strip.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said in a social media post on Sunday that he had exchanged views with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the ongoing regional conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

Indian Navy commissioned its latest stealth Frigate INS Taragiriin Visakhapatnam on Friday, with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presiding over the ceremony.

Fraudsters running cyberscam operations in Cambodia could face life in prison after the Senate approved a new law targeting criminals involved in the multibillion-dollar illicit industry. This law has two key goals. First, it will make sure the efficiency of the crackdown on online scams and support the current nationwide campaign to eliminate it.

Second, it will help in making sure that cyber scams on such a scale will not return to Cambodia after the campaign, Cambodian justice minister Koeut Rith told a news conference. He added that the individuals who organize or direct a cyber scam centre shall be jailed between five to 10 years and fined between five hundred million riels to one billion riels. The sentence could be increased to between 15 to 30 years or to life imprisonment.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that Iran had agreed to allow 20 Pakistani-flagged vessels to transit the Strait of Hormuz. He described Iran’s decision as meaning step towards peace which could help restore stability to a region on the edge.

Pakistan foreign minister posted on X that two ships would cross daily under the arrangement. He also viewed the deal as far more than a bilateral shipping agreement, hailing it as a welcome and constructive gesture.
