Chinland secured back-to-back championships in the 2025-2026 Myanmar National League II season after the final round on 29 January at Thuwunna and University Stadiums.
Chinland defeated University 2-1 at Thuwunna, while Yangon City and Myawady played to a 1-1 draw at the University ground. Entering the final match with 29 points each, Chinland’s victory over University gave them a two-point edge to claim the title. The win marked Chinland’s second consecutive MNL II championship and its first back-to-back title in the league’s history, having remained in the second tier despite winning last season. In the game, University took the lead in 29 minutes through Aung Myint Myat, but Chinland struck back in the second half with a penalty goal by midfielder Hla Phone Oo in 61 minutes and a direct free-kick in 87 minutes to secure the 2-1 win.
In the Yangon City versus Myawady match, Sithu Aung gave Yangon City the early lead in 13 minutes before Wai Yan Oo equalized for Myawady in the 57th.
The post-match awards saw Chinland’s striker Hla Phone Oo receive the top scorer award with K300,000. Third-place Yangon City players received K10 million, second-place Myawady K30 million, and champions Chinland grabbed K50 million along with the championship trophy, presented by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, government officials, and Myanmar Football Federation President U Zaw Zaw.
