The Myanmar national futsal team will travel to Thailand for pre-tournament training ahead of the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship, with a squad of 17 players selected.
The team will depart for Thailand on 29 March and play friendly matches during the training period. Myanmar began preparations on 14 March with 26 preliminary players and later reduced the squad by nine. Fourteen final players will be selected after the training camp in Thailand.
The 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship will be held in Thailand from 6 to 12 April. Myanmar are drawn in Group A with Thailand, Vietnam and Timor-Leste, while Group B comprises Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia and Brunei. Myanmar will face Vietnam on 6 April, Thailand on 7 April and Timor-Leste on 9 April in the group stage. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
