8th Waxing of Tazaungmone, 1387 ME

- The Union Election Commission announced in its Announcement 56/2025, dated 20 August 2025, that a total of 102 townships would take part in Phase I of the multiparty democracy general election, which is scheduled to commence on 28 December 2025.
- Phase II of the multiparty democracy general election will be held on Sunday, 11 January 2026 (9th Waning of Pyatho, 1387 ME). A total of 100 townships where the second phase of the election will be held have been designated, as shown in the list attached by region and state.
