  • Travelers Abducted Along with Bus by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Chaung-U Township of Sagaing Region

   Terrorist groups have been engaging in battles, carrying out attacks using heavy weapons, drones to drop bombs and improvised explosive devices across towns and villages in various states and regions. Moreover, they are committing inhumane acts of terror and criminal activities-including abducting and extorting money from local civilians and also election commission members, as well as killings.

   Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 November 2025, at 1:10 PM, a bus driven by U Nyi Nyi Htway (55 years old) and vehicle conductor U Soe Win Aung (30 years old), was travelling with 22 passengers from Monywa Town to Mandalay City along the Monywa - Chaung-U – Mandalay Road. When the bus reached an area between Nat Yae Kan Village in Chaung-U Township and Gway Pin Taw Village in Myinmu Township, a so-called PDF terrorist group forced the bus to stop and abducted all the individuals along with the bus, it is reported. 

   Regarding the above incident, security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard procedures to identify, apprehend and take action against the terrorists involved, it is reported.

05 April 2026     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 April 2026 at 7:30 AM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Khant Bone Naing (13 years old), a resident of Kyauk Hta Yan Village in Htigyaing Township of Sagaing Region. According to the investigation, on 2 April 2026 at 10:00 AM, while the victim was at his house, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby resulting in his injuries, it is reported.     Similarly, on 3 April 2026 at 11:00 AM, so-called PDF terrorists conducted an attack using three fixed wing drones by dropping bombs on No. 2 Ward in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region. The bombs exploded within the ward. As a result, U Zaw Min (50 years old), a driver from the Myingyan Township Development Committee Office, and Mg Myint Myat Aung (four years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Myingyan District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.       According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.MOHA

05 April 2026     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.       Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 April 2026 at 9:00 AM, while U Naung Naung Hein (43 years old), a resident of Hein Dar Village in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region, was working at a poultry farm about 750 feet west of his house, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists near the farm. As a result, U Naung Naung Hein sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.       It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA
