The Venerable Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru, Shwegyin Head of Monks, Sitagu Sayadaw attended the opening ceremony of the 20th Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony held beneath the Maha Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya, Bihar State, India—a place of utmost reverence for Buddhists.

During the ceremony, the Sayadaw gave a blessing, saying: “May everyone be peaceful and happy like the Sitagu moon… May the Dhamma (teachings) of the virtuous shine everywhere…”

The 20th Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony opening ceremony is being held in Bodh Gaya.

At the ceremony, the Sitagu Sayadaw delivered a special address emphasizing the importance of the Tipitaka Dhamma.

It was attended by state-level dignitaries and international representatives, including the Minister of Culture and Tourism of India, the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, the Director General of the International Buddhist Confederation, the Secretary of the Bodhgaya Tourist Management Committee, and the former Chancellor of Nalanda University.

Furthermore, a large number of monks and laypeople from various countries, including Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Korea, and Japan, participated as pilgrims.
