  • Terrorists Act : Six civilians killed in Mahlaing Township

Six civilians, including a midwife providing healthcare services, were killed in separate attacks in Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region on December 19.

The victims included a village administrator and his wife from Laegyi Village, three local shop owners from Myetthikyin  (North) Village, and a midwife from the Rural Health Center in Yonetaw  Village.

It is reported that they were gunned down by the PDF terrorists while they were at their homes. Security forces are working with local residents to identify and arrest those responsible and have increased security measures in the area. Local communities have condemned the attacks, citing losses to social, economic, and health services.

On June 3rd, PDF terrorists carried out a drone attack near Basic Education High School located in Shwe Oh Kwin Ward, near Wetlet Township in Sagaing Region.The attackers allegedly launched four bombs from two drones about 3,300 meters southeast of Wetlet Township. As a result, a Grade-8 student Maung Thu Ra Naing, age 14, sustained injuries to his right arm. Security personnel reportedly transported the injured student to Wetlet Township People’s Hospital, where he is receiving necessary medical treatment.Local residents are said to be strongly condemning the attack, noting that the school was not a military target and describing the drone bombing of a place where children study as a senseless act of terrorism. Security forces, together with local residents, are reportedly conducting investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack as quickly as possible.mitv
