Artifacts of the Ancient City of Carchemish (Karkamis) located at the crossroads of Anatolia, Mesopotamia and Syria displayed for the first time at the Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum.

Titled “Carchemish of the Hittites on the Banks of the Euphrates: New Discoveries and New Contributions,” the exhibition brings together 57 artifacts dating from 1300 to 700 BCE, a period dominated by Hittite culture. The exhibition highlights Carchemish’s political, military and religious power.

The Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board, U Tin Maung Win, along with responsible officials, visited the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) on May 12th, and May 13th.The UCSB Chairman met separately with trainees of Basic Education Teachers' Special Refresher Course No. 83 at the Yadanar Hall and Senior Officer Course No. 22 at the Nawarat Hall. During these meetings, the UCSB Chairman delivered a speech, stating that in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the government, training is being provided to cultivate good civil servants, foster good discipline and uniformity, elevate mindsets and morale, and produce exemplary organizational leaders and good teachers who possess patriotism, loyalty to the country, and the ability to provide the best service to the people.He emphasized that, under the government's 100-day fast-track work plan, participants need to have a thorough understanding of their respective roles in implementing the projects to be carried out by ministries and organizations and to work diligently to the best of their abilities.He also urged the teachers to teach students appropriately according to their levels as the saying goes, "teaching both the books and the heart" and to engage in continuous learning for their own self-improvement. Afterwards, the UCSB Chairman had lunch with the trainees of Basic Education Teachers' Special Refresher Course No. 83 at the Ingyin Hall. Bago Region Report for the 2024 Population and Housing Census was released at the City Hall of Bago Township on Wednesday. Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing attended the event, together with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, regional officials, Hluttaw representatives, departmental officials and invited guests.During the ceremony, the Union Minister highlighted that the 2024 Population and Housing Census was successfully conducted in October 2024 using domestic human and financial resources without international assistance. The Bago Region report was released as part of the ongoing publication of census findings, including preliminary population data, union-level reports, and statistical summaries.The report contains detailed information on population, migration, education, labor force, employment, disability, housing, births, deaths, and living standards in urban and rural areas of Bago Region. The Union Minister added that the data would support regional planning, policy-making, and socio-economic development, particularly in the education and healthcare sectors.The Bago Region Chief Minister then reported future regional development plans based on census data, while the Deputy Minister explained findings identified in the regional report. The Union Minister later handed over the Bago Region census report to the Chief Minister.Subsequently, the Union Minister and the Region Chief Minister visited the Bago City Sports Hall to observe the staff of the Bago Township Department under the Ministry of Immigration and Population issuing Citizenship Cards and UIDs under the e-ID system through the "La Min Project" to local residents.They cordially greeted and encouraged local residents who had come for citizenship-related services and to collect UIDs, inquiring and discussing any operational difficulties they faced. Afterwards, the Union Minister and responsible officials presented Citizenship Cards and UIDs, which had already been processed on the same day under the government's 100-day “La Min” Project, to individual recipients.They then provided financial support and refreshments to the township office staff. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the Bago Region Head Office, met with district, township, and regional level heads of department within the region, provided operational guidance, and coordinated and addressed work-related needs as necessary, it’s reported.mitv

Under the Ministry of Legal Affairs, ten township legal offices were designated to be expanded and established as pilot law offices within the new government's first 100 days.On Wednesday, the Law Offices of Zabuthiri, Ottarathiri, Dakhinathiri and Pobbathiri Townships, within the Nay Pyi Taw Council area have been designated as Pilot Law Offices. First, the Union Minister and the Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo explained that the opening of Pilot Law Offices serves as a model experiment.The goal is to transition office operations from a manual system to digitization in areas such as registration, record-keeping, and sending reports; to enable faster processing between litigation legal officers and responsible legal officers through technology and to conduct Pre-Trial Interviews (PTI) at the pilot law offices.The Union Minister then inspected the township law offices designated as Pilot Law Offices. Previously, 21 district law offices and 7 township law offices had been designated as model pilot law offices.
