Nay Pyi Taw’s Union-level expo links MSMEs with home, overseas markets

At the Union-Level MSME Products Exhibition and Market Fair being held at the Nay Pyi Taw Square from 8 to 13 February 2026, the Business Matching Pavilion is providing services to connect MSME products from regions and states with markets, starting from the initial stage of business establishment through to domestic sales and eventual export to international markets.
During the exhibition period, MSME entrepreneurs are being assisted through coordination with relevant departments, including the Department of Trade for exporter/importer registration certificates; the Food and Drug Administration Department for FDA certification; the Department of Intellectual Property for trademark registration; and other departments for matters relating to import and export endorsements. These services are delivered through the Ministry Coordination and Facilitation Team.
Additionally, the Domestic Market Linkage Team is supporting MSME entrepreneurs in marketing regional products through local retail and wholesale outlets such as Makro, City Mart, One Stop Mart and Aeon.
For entrepreneurs seeking financial resources and access to loans for starting new businesses or expanding existing ones, the Investment Linkage Team is facilitating connections with domestic banks, including Kanbawza Bank, CB Bank, AYA Bank and SME Development Bank.
Furthermore, to enable MSME products to enter overseas markets, services are also being provided through the Overseas Market Linkage Team, which coordinates with 16 commercial attachés assigned to 12 countries.
On the second day of the exhibition, it was reported that the Ministry Coordination and Facilitation Team connected with 87 MSME entrepreneurs; the Domestic Market Linkage Team facilitated meetings between 41 entrepreneurs and 11 retail and wholesale outlets; the Investment Linkage Team arranged meetings between 40 entrepreneurs and 13 banks; and the Overseas Market Linkage Team connected with 21 entrepreneurs. — MNA/MKKS
