Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win visited Myo Ma Phayagyi Monastery in Myo Kone Ward of Yatsauk Township on Wednesday.

The Vice Senior General and party received Five Precepts from the Patron Sayadaw, and donated offertories, sharing merits gained. They later visited the People's Hospital in Bahtoo and comforted the patients, receiving treatment at the hospital. They also took a tour of the hospital, reviewing the X-ray Unit, Lab Room, TB Diagnosis Unit, Dental Unit, Medical Equipment and Medicine Store.

The Vice Senior General and party then visited No.1 Basic Education High School (Bahtoo) and encouraged the Grade-12 students who will sit for the matriculation exams in March. He also met with the In-charge of the school and teachers and heard reports on the effort for education promotion.

The Vice Senior General called for cooperation among the teachers and parents for achieving target passing rate.  They then inspected the damaged sites at the school fence, during the March 28 earthquake, and coordinated the needs for speedy repair works.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Dr. Soe Win, received Mr. Lee Yam Ming, Executive Director of the AHA Centre, at the Ministry’s reception hall on February 25.During the meeting, both parties engaged in a cordial and open exchange of views on the matters including, the collaborative efforts in earthquake relief following the Mandalay earthquake, including the deployment of ASEAN-ERAT (Emergency Response and Assessment Team) members, the status of reconstruction projects coordinated by the AHA Centre with donor nations.This includes the donation of Prefabricated Schools, Prefabricated Rural Healthcare Centres, and one one-story Reinforced Concrete (RCC) monastery building, funded by the governments of the Philippines, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China, the humanitarian assistance provided by the Government of the People’s Republic of China for earthquake relief and ongoing negotiations for the donation of educational school buildings for long-term recovery.The AHA Centre's distribution of Food and Non-Food Items (NFI) to those in need of assistance across Myanmar. The opening ceremony of the Basic Tax Training Course No. (1/2026) was held at the Internal Revenue Department, Office No.(46) in Nay Pyi Taw on February 25th. At the ceremony, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw highlighted that modern technologies and reforms are being implemented to improve the tax system all over the world. He focused on that this training is specially organized as it is essential for employees from other related government departments to have tax knowledge and cooperation in order to successfully carry out tax-related processes.By working more closely together with respective departments, it will help collect tax revenue to meet its targets the country deserves. Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Myanmar Diplomatic Academy, held at the compound of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw at 8 AM on 25th February 2026. At the ceremony, the Union Minister, the Deputy Ministers and ‌a representative of Mother Development Co., Ltd laid stakes at the designated places and sprinkled scented water on them.  Upon the completion, the Ministry will expand its training and educational programs to systematically develop foreign service personnel into highly qualified, next-generation diplomats, while also sharing knowledge on international and diplomatic affairs with interested individuals, including staff from various government organizations and ministries.mitv
