MGA President’s Cup Mandalay leg concludes
The Mandalay leg of the 2026 Myanmar Golf Association President’s Cup concluded on 27 February at the Yedagon Taung Golf Course in Mandalay with the final round and prize presentation ceremony.
In the professional category, Thiha Htay (HAN Golf Masters) and Lwin Moe both finished on 284 strokes, four under par. Thiha Htay secured the title after winning a play-off at hole 18.
In the senior professional event, Min Naing (Srixon) claimed first place with 218 strokes, ahead of Kyaw Moe (Green Joy Pro Shop) with 233 strokes.
Among amateurs, Hlaing Min Htet won the men’s title with 299 strokes, while Cho Thar Aung topped the women’s category with 154 strokes.
During the ceremony, officials presented trophies and cash awards, while medals were contributed by supporting organizations. The third leg of the tournament will take place from 9 to 12 March at Yangon Golf Course (Danyingon), featuring amateur, senior amateur and junior under-18 categories. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
