  • Scotland firefighters battle blaze in central Glasgow

Firefighters battle a large blaze near Glasgow Central train station in Union Street, affecting rail travel at Scotland's busiest terminal. The blaze started around 3:45–3:46 pm local time on Sunday in a building on Union Street, close to the station.

The fire is believed to have originated in a ground-floor vape shop before spreading through a four-storey building. More than 60 firefighters, supported by multiple fire engines and high-reach vehicles, were deployed to battle the blaze.

A giant pipe has emerged about 13 meters above a road in a busy district of central Osaka, western Japan. The city is investigating the cause of the incident, and restoration work is underway. Osaka city officials said an iron pipe measuring 3.5 meters in diameter was discovered protruding from the road shortly before 7a.m. local time on Wednesday.Thirteen meters of the 30-meter-long pipe had been pushed vertically out of the ground beneath the elevated Shin-Midosuji highway in the city’s Kita Ward. At the ceremony marking the anniversary, which included an offering of alms, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, and officials took the Five Precepts from the members of Sangha.They then offered cash and donation items, performed sharing merits and offered ‘soon’ (day meal) to the members of Sangha.
