Union Government Meeting: Prime Minister addresses the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw
Union Government held its meeting on Thursday in Nay Pyi Taw, with an address by Prime Minister U Nyo Saw. In his speech, the Prime Minister highlighted the successful holding of the election, followed by the hluttaw sessions, along with the transfer of the state duty to the new government.
He added that the Forum on Myanmar New Chapter is scheduled to be held in Nay Pyi Taw on March 13 and 14, with the aims for the hluttaw representatives to have wider knowledge on the country's political, economic and social affairs and the process for national development with new idea and outlook. He also reiterated the government's efforts for socio-economic development, stability of the country and rule of law.
At the same time, efforts have been made for combating online gambling and online frauds. He emphasized the need to conduct precaution and educative measures for preventing illegal trade and drug abuse as a national duty. The Prime Minister also stressed the implementations for food sufficiency, education promotion and environmental conservation tasks.
He urged all to draft the national planning and regional planning for implementation of the public beneficial projects. Regarding the recent fuel crisis due to the conflict in the Middle East, the Prime Minister said the public notification has been issued for efficient use of fuel, and the concerned ministries and organizations are urged to make systematic supervision to ensure public participation.
For the upcoming Thingyan Festival, he outlined to celebrate Thingyan Splash Walk in traditional way, which is in line with the recent situation. As a precaution measure for fire hazardous during summer, he stressed the need to make public education campaigns through state media including TV, newspapers, journals and magazines.
The Union Ministers later provided updates on the work undertakings of the respective sectors and future plans. Upon the reports, the Prime Minister coordinated the needs and gave concluding remarks.
