The Machinery Supervision Committee held its work coordination meeting at the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday with the attendance of Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than.

At the meeting, the Union Minister in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee stressed that from 2020-2021 Fiscal Year to 2025-2026 Fiscal Year, the Committee have resolved over 1,700 cases. The instruction needs to be followed in Machinery purchase and fund transfer was already adopted in the previous meeting and issued them under the supervision of the previous State Administration Council Office.

He added that discussions on maintenance and repair procedures for devastating Mandalay earthquake affected machines, drawing SOP for natural disaster affected machines, Equipment Management Procedure and formation of working committees were made in previous meetings. Likewise, 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Capital Expenditure (Machinery List) has already submitted to Financial Commission to seek approval.

Then, the Union Minister called for the active participation and constructive suggestions of the attendees for the best outcomes. During the meeting, deliberations were made on 10 fund transfer cases presented by ministries and organizations and matters on drawing SOP for natural disaster affected machine inspection, repair and maintenance.
