Ceremony highlights achievements, screens Lancang-Mekong Cooperation documentary
The Sharing Successes in Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Efforts and Documentary Screening Programme event, jointly organized by Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) under the Ministry of Information, the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar, and China Media Group (CMG), was held at MRTV’s Studio A in Yangon on the morning of 13 March. The event was attended by Minister-Counsellor Dr Zheng Zhihong of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar, MRTV officials, and invitees.
An introductory video of the Lancang-Mekong Week interview activities was shown.
The programme Discussing the Future of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Together was launched, and a video message from Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn was shown.
Dr Zheng Zhihong from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar also explained matters related to the Sharing Successes in Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Efforts and Documentary Screening Programme.
The second part of the discussion featured the screening of the documentary film The River Flowing South. Officials from the MRTV discussed the documentary and the role of the media in the Myanmar Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Project.
Afterwards, the third part of the ceremony featured the screening of the video Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Lancang-Mekong National Cooperation, followed by the interview videos of the Myanmar Crop Yield Assessment and Data Centre and the Myanmar Tourism Research Centre.
Subsequently, regarding Myanmar’s Lancang-Mekong cooperation and development promotion, members of the Myanmar Press Council and an official from the MRTV shared and discussed their views before the ceremony concluded. — MNA/TH
