The 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day reception was held on the evening of 26 March at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon in Seoul. It was jointly organized by the Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) in Seoul, according to a statement from the embassy.
The ceremony proceeded according to the following programme: national anthem; a one-minute moment of silence was observed to mark the first anniversary of the major Mandalay earthquake that occurred on 28 March 2025; commemorative speeches were delivered by Charge d’Affaires/Ambassador Wunna Kyaw Htin U Myo Myint Maung and Brig-Gen Wint Thu, Military Attaché; a documentary video honouring Armed Forces Day was screened; certificates of honour were presented to those who contributed to the success of the ceremony; the cutting of a commemorative cake and a group photo session; and guests were treated to a dinner featuring traditional Myanmar delicacies.
Approximately 260 guests attended the event, including ambassadors from Belarus, Laos, the Philippines, and Singapore, foreign military attachés and diplomats, officials from the ASEAN-Korea Centre, and business leaders and representatives from organizations collaborating with Myanmar. — Htun Htun/ZN
