China & Pakistan to make fresh efforts to promote regional peace
China and Pakistan will make new efforts to maintain regional peace and stability, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday. Currently, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, is in China to mediate tensions in the Middle East.
The foreign ministers of both countries will strengthen strategic communication and coordination on international and regional issues of mutual concern, including the situation in Iran, jointly speak up for peace and justice, and make new efforts to promote peace talks and a ceasefire, and safeguard regional peace and stability, Mao added.
