India’s Defence Minister commissions indigenous stealth frigate
Indian Navy commissioned its latest stealth Frigate INS Taragiriin Visakhapatnam on Friday, with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presiding over the ceremony.
The Defense Minister described the warship as a symbol of India’s growing technological prowess and self-reliance. Built with over 75 percent indigenous content, the frigate is equipped with advanced stealth features, modern missile systems and multi-role capabilities, reinforcing India’s ability to secure critical sea lanes and operate effectively across the Indian Ocean region. He said that the commissioning of INS Taragiri reflects India’s growing maritime strength.
