The third day of the First Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was held on April 6 at 10:00 AM at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the session, the President-elect submitted proposals to the Hluttaw regarding the Supreme Court of the Union, the Union Election Commission, the 31 Union Government Ministries and 30 Union Ministers, the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, the Union Attorney General, and the Union Auditor General.

According to the agenda, the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw announced the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw's approval of the 15-member list for the Hluttaw Representatives Scrutiny Committee. This includes Dr. Kyaw Kyaw Htay from Dawei constituency as Chairman, and U Aung Tin Myint from Ayeyawady Region Proportional Representation System Constituency No. 1 as Secretary.

Subsequently, the proposals submitted by the President-elect, including to designate the number of Supreme Court Justices as 9, and to appoint U Thar Htay as the Chief Justice of the Union, the 15-member list of the Union Election Commission, including U Than Soe as Chairman, to designate the number of Union Government Ministries as 31, and the number of Union Ministers as 30, the 9-member list of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, including U Aung Zaw Thein as Chairman, to appoint Dr. Thida Oo as the Union Attorney General, to appoint Daw Naing Thet Oo as the Union Auditor General, were presented to the parliament.

Afterward, the Speaker announced that any member of the Pyihtaungsu Hluttaw wishing to object to the proposals submitted by the President-elect, may submit their name. Today's meeting was adjourned at 10:54 AM. It was announced that the fourth day of the First Regular Session of the Third Union Parliament will continue on April 7 at 10:00 AM.

The Speaker also announced the approval of seven ministries and seven ministers, one Chief Justice of the High Court, and four High Court judges.Thereafter, the Deputy Speaker of the Region Hluttaw read out and clarified the duties, powers, rights, and term of office of the Bago Region Hluttaw's Committee on Industry, Electricity, Roads, and Construction. The Speaker of the Region Hluttaw then read out and presented to the Region Hluttaw the number of members, the list of members' names, and the names of the Chairperson and Secretary of the committee. Next, the Deputy Speaker read out and clarified the duties, powers, rights, and term of office of the Bago Region Hluttaw Committee on Natural Resources, Forests, and Environmental Conservation. The Speaker then presented to the State Hluttaw a proposal regarding the authority to determine the number of Kachin State ministries (seven), the number of Kachin State ministers (seven), and the number of Chief Justice and judges of the Kachin State High Court, as submitted by the elected President of the Union. After seeking the decision of the Hluttaw representatives, the Speaker declared that the proposal was approved.   Subsequently, regarding the nomination by the elected President of the Union for the appointment of the Chief Minister of Kachin State—namely, U Khet Htein Nan, Hluttaw Representative No. 1 of Myitkyina Township—and with no Hluttaw representatives objecting, the Hluttaw granted its approval.
