China has warned the United States, Japan, and the Philippines following the start of their annual joint military exercises involving thousands of troops.

The Chinese foreign ministry said that security cooperation formed through bloc alignment could carry risks and urged against actions that it said could increase tensions in the Asia-Pacific region. It added that regional stability should be maintained through mutual trust and that military cooperation should not target third parties or undermine peace and security in the region.

The President Office issued Martial Law Ordanance.2/2026 on April 23. In an effort to restore normalcy with administration mechanism, community peace and rule of law in the townships under the State of Emergency, the Martial Law order was declared under Section 413 (b) of the constitution, and entrusted the administrative and judiciary duties of those townships to the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.The Commander-in-Chief shall exercise Martial Law by himself or shall transfer the power to the relevant military authority. 23 April 2026     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 April 2026 at 8:00 PM, so-called PDF terrorists fired improvised rockets into Tha Lal Bar Villages in Ayardaw Township of Sagaing Region. One of the rockets exploded within the village. As a result, Mg Shine Ko Ko Hein (12 years old), Mg Toe Thet Wai (16 years old), Daw Thein Soe (51 years old), Daw Hnin Nwe (45 years old), Daw San San Oo (47 years old) and Daw Pauk Sa (74 years old), all residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.moha
