China's CATL launches batteries with 1,500km range, six-minutes full charge
Chinese battery giant CATL said on Tuesday it has developed upgraded models of its flagship models that can power a sedan for up to 1,500 kilometres on a single charge, and recharge in just six minutes.
CATL, a global leader in the sector, produces more than a third of all electric vehicle (EV) batteries sold worldwide. It unveiled the "Qilin" long-range condensed battery and the "Shenxing" superfast charging battery at a launch event in China's capital Beijing ahead of the annual Auto Show, the country's biggest car expo.
