Peace Process: Peace Coordination Committee meets to discuss process
Members of the National Solidarity and Peace-Making Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) met on Thursday to discuss ways to strengthen peace efforts and implement effective processes.
Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae gave an opening remark at the meeting, saying that the government is working to promote national reconciliation and build a democratic federal union through dialogue with ethnic armed groups. At the meeting, members reviewed past peace efforts, including agreements under the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), and discussed resuming related processes.
Participants also emphasized the importance of unity, development in border areas, humanitarian assistance, and public participation in peace efforts. The meeting concluded with discussions on improving cooperation and implementing practical solutions for lasting peace.
