Myanmar National League club Yangon United have made a coaching change ahead of the new season, parting ways with Japanese coach Yuki Tsutsuro and appointing Argentine coach Juan Marcelo Cirilli as his replacement.
The club announced on 23 April that both sides mutually agreed to terminate Yuki’s contract. He had taken charge midway through last season and led the team to an impressive run of 10 wins and one draw in 11 league matches. However, Yangon United finished as runners-up, missing out on the championship.
New head coach Juan Marcelo Cirilli previously played in the Myanmar National League with Zeyar Shwe Myay and has coaching experience across clubs in Argentina, Indonesia, Bolivia and Ecuador. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
