Dry Zone Greening Effort: Greening projects in Yenanchaung Township
The Dry Zone Greening Department is implementing the greening, agriculture, and water management projects in Yenanchaung Township.
On Friday, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko visited the township to oversee the projects. The inspection began at the 100-acre model neem plantation, where officials discussed ongoing projects, funding needs, and maintenance of previously completed Phase-I and Phase-II greening projects.
The Chief Minister emphasized maintaining the current success of plantations, coordinating with relevant departments, and efficiently using resources for future Phase-III projects. They also visited the Thone Sae Chauk Village-tract to inspect agriculture and water management works.
The Chief Minister met with local farmers, instructed on crop productivity, income growth, and modern farming techniques, including solar irrigation systems for new and expanded farmland totaling over 165 acres. He also urged officials to continue improving agriculture, greening, and water projects for sustainable development in Yenanchaung Township.
