Seven K-200 stamps to be introduced, in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council
In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council known as the Chattha Sangayana, seven new K-200 special postage stamps will be sold, according to the Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications.
Designed by U Aung Zaw Myat (Kyawt Thiha), the seven new postage stamps will be printed with the approval of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The new stamps will be sold on 30 April, Kasone Full Moon Day, at the souvenir shop in the pagoda complex of the Thiri Mingalar Kabar Aye Pagoda, Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, Yangon Post Office and Mandalay Post Office, starting from 9:30am.
As a special programme, date logo will be sealed on stamps and first day covers for customers on 30 April.
