  • Seven K-200 stamps to be introduced, in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council

In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Sixth Buddhist Council known as the Chattha Sangayana, seven new K-200 special postage stamps will be sold, according to the Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications.

Designed by U Aung Zaw Myat (Kyawt Thiha), the seven new postage stamps will be printed with the approval of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The new stamps will be sold on 30 April, Kasone Full Moon Day, at the souvenir shop in the pagoda complex of the Thiri Mingalar Kabar Aye Pagoda, Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, Yangon Post Office and Mandalay Post Office, starting from 9:30am.

As a special programme, date logo will be sealed on stamps and first day covers for customers on 30 April.

Stamps and first day covers have been already distributed to regional and state post offices, and the following phone numbers can be contacted to purchase them– 09 448000096 for Nay Pyi Taw, 09 424000458 for Yangon and 09 424000515 for Mandalay.

He inspected the innovative production of tillers, the manufacturing of sugarcane row cutters, the production of hand-held drum seeders, and the production of natural fertilizers and foliar fertilizer liquid for lemon, betel nut, paddy, and sugarcane crops under the brand name "Tha Li Swa " by U Thein Naing in Nawaday Ward. He provided necessary guidance and directives during the inspection.Afterwards, the Chief Minister inspected the repair and renovation work of the Baw Baw Gyi Pagoda, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake, located in the ancient Thayekhittara city area of Hmawzar Village Group, Myo Hta Village, Pyay Township. During the meeting, Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin participated in the rotational discussions, addressing the impacts of the Middle East conflicts on Myanmar's domestic fuel oil distribution, the systematic implementation of emergency response measures, the adoption of short-term and long-term measures to meet the country's energy needs, and by learning from the experience of this situation, to cooperate with international partners, including ASEAN countries and regional countries, in ensuring national energy security in the future, among other topics.At the meeting, ASEAN Energy Ministers, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN Centre for Energy openly and candidly exchanged views on the impacts of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East on regional countries, strategies for ensuring energy security, current global energy markets and supply chains, and processes for real-time coordination through ASEAN-led discussion formats with dialogue partners to ensure, in particular, oil and natural gas security within the ASEAN region.
