A group of atomic bomb survivors from Japan held an exhibition in New York to convey the horrors of nuclear weapons, on the sidelines of a review conference for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). It has been organized by Nihon Hidankyo at each NPT review conference, usually held every five years.

Nihon Hidankyo is also known as the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations. More than 50 items are on display, including molten glass from the intense atomic blast and photo panels. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the NPT review conference on Monday that the exhibition "is an alarm reminding them of the cost of nuclear warfare."
