Myanma Gem Museum in Nay Pyi Taw is undergoing major maintenance, following the powerful Mandalay earthquake in 2025.

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U San Oo visited the museum to oversee the work progress. He urged officials to ensure earthquake resilient building, meeting the set standards.

The Myanma Gem Museum in Nay Pyi Taw is located in Zabuthiri Township and is a well-designed museum showcasing rare Myanma gems such as jade, rubies, sapphires, and pearls. Additionally, at the nearby Mani Yadana Jade Hall, the annual Myanma Gem Emporium is held, and the latest was in 2025, marking its 60th edition.
