During the meeting, the President said that the country’s economic development means increased prosperity for the people.Therefore, while the government, relevant ministries, and region and state governments have responsibilities in promoting prosperity, the public must also actively participate and work together. He stated that the government is currently facing many challenges and shortcomings and that efforts must continually be made to correct weaknesses within the government.The President also emphasized the importance of developing the agriculture and livestock sectors, ensuring that all school-age children can attend school through collective efforts, promoting the growth of MSMEs, and ensuring the continuous operation of both private and state-owned factories throughout the country.He highlighted the need to make effective use of land and water resources for agriculture and livestock farming. The President further noted that in some areas where there are limitations in fully maintaining stability, peace, and the rule of law, excessive illegal gold mining activities near rivers and streams have caused silting, increased sediment deposits, and damage to waterways.He stressed that local administrative officials must effectively suppress illegal gold mining activities in order to protect the country’s valuable water resources, preserve the environment, and prevent flooding. He also urged local residents to cooperate in protecting national interests by reporting illegal gold mining activities in their areas to the relevant authorities.In addition, the President stressed the need to further develop livestock breeding activities according to regional conditions.
