Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein met with Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms. Ma Jia at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening cooperation in the education sector between Myanmar and China.

The Union Minister expressed appreciation for China’s support under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation framework, saying it contributes to Myanmar’s socio-economic development. They also discussed opportunities for students from education universities and degree colleges, as well as qualified teachers pursuing master’s degrees, to study teaching-related subjects at universities in China. The two sides exchanged views on expanding educational cooperation.

He also observed healthcare services provided by specialists in cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, oncology, respiratory medicine, neurology, pediatrics, liver diseases, and nephrology. He instructed officials to ensure patients receive treatment comfortably, maintain hospital cleanliness, and strengthen healthcare services. Golf Tournament: Nay Pyi Taw Amateur & Junior Open Championship
The Nay Pyi Taw Amateur & Junior Open Championship (Road to Myanmar Junior National Team) Golf Tournament commenced on Friday.The tournament is organized by the Myanmar Golf Federation under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports as part of the government’s 100-day plan. Union Minister for Sports U Ye Myint Tun attended the opening ceremony, together with Deputy Minister U Nyi Nyi, officials, and Myanmar Golf Federation representatives.The tournament aims to improve the skills of young golfers, help them compete internationally, and identify talented athletes for the future. A total of 130 players, including 80 amateur golfers and 50 junior players, are taking part in the tournament. The competition will continue for three days from May 29 to 31 at the City Golf Course in Nay Pyi Taw.mitv

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Kyaw Swar Lin visited training schools, regional military units, and military hospitals in Bahtoo Township on Friday.At the Tatmadaw (Army) Warrant Officer/ Sergeant Training School, General Kyaw Swar Lin inspected trainee accommodations, meals, health and hygiene standards, and training activities. He encouraged trainees and viewed the displayed items at the school gallery.He also reviewed animal husbandry and seed cultivation projects, ensuring proper implementation. At military hospitals, he checked on the treatment of officers, Tatmadawmen, and their families, offering support and foodstuff. He also reviewed new medical equipment, including a portable dental X-ray and CT scan machines, for Tatmadawmen and locals.Likewise, wife of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief  visited the Women and Chile Ward and comforted the patients.
