India has strongly rejected references to Jammu and Kashmir in a joint press communique issued after the 8th round of the European Union-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue, asserting that the matter is an internal affair of the country. 

During the weekly media briefing in New Delhi on Tuesday, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson said India categorically rejects any references to Jammu and Kashmir made in the joint statement issued following the European Union-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue.

He noted that India and Nepal have established bilateral mechanisms to address all aspects of boundary-related issues through dialogue and mutual understanding. India maintained that existing bilateral frameworks remain the appropriate channel for resolving such matters and stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations.

Israeli lawmakers voted Tuesday to back a bill, in its first reading, to dissolve parliament and pave the way for likely early elections. A total of 106 of the Knesset's 120 members backed the legislation, submitted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling coalition, according to a parliamentary statement.The remaining lawmakers did not attend the vote, which followed a debate in the assembly.
