Authorities continued demolishing illegal buildings in the Shwe Kokko area of Myawaddy Township, Kayin State, which were used for online scam and illegal gambling activities. Three more illegal 3-story buildings were destroyed using machinery on Saturday.

These buildings were part of a total of 77 structures identified for demolition. So far, 39 buildings have been demolished, and the remaining buildings will continue to be removed in an organized way. The government said the crackdown on online fraud and illegal gambling is a national priority and is being carried out with cooperation from local and neighboring countries to ensure such activities cannot operate in Myanmar.

Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 5 June 2026 at 9:40 AM, while    U Shwe Aung (43 years old), a resident of Yae Pyae Village in Taungwingyi Township of Magway Region, was at his house, six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Shwe Aung died on the spot, it is reported.    According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of administrative officials and innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.MOHA

07 June 2026    In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices, and houses. PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine planting and bombings using explosives on public roads and bridges, with the aim of causing injuries to the public and destroying regional development.    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 June 2026 at 2:20 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Loikaw Township Public Hospital in Kayah State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Maung Pyar (61 years old), a resident of Htee Sal Khar Village in Loikaw Township. According to the investigation, on the same day at 12:50 PM, the victim was working in his yard, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.MOHA

Authorities have continued dismantling illegal buildings used for online fraud and illegal gambling activities in Shwe Kokko, according to official reports.The government said joint departmental teams are carrying out clearance operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas to prevent illegal structures from continuing to be used for online scam activities. Equipment used in such operations has also been systematically destroyed, while illegal buildings are being completely demolished.During the latest operation, three three-storey residential buildings used for online scam activities were demolished using heavy machinery. The structures were among 77 buildings identified for removal, including 57 to be demolished with machinery and 20 to be destroyed using explosives.Officials confirmed that a total of 39 buildings have been demolished so far. The remaining 38 illegal structures will be dismantled in subsequent phases.Authorities also stated that efforts to combat online scam networks are being undertaken as a national responsibility, in cooperation with neighbouring countries and international partners, to prevent such activities from re-establishing themselves in Myanmar. — MNA/MKKSgnlm

They forcibly recruit and kill education personnel, students and parents, and destroy school buildings and infrastructure continuously.On Saturday morning, the so-called PDF insurgents launched small arm attacks on teachers and students who were conducting collective cleaning activities at Basic Education High School (Kyaw) in Kyaw Town, Gangaw District, Magwe Region.
