Preparations are underway for organizing the 79th Union Day and 78th Chin National Day in Hakha.

On February 7, Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Vung Suan Thang visited the Hakha District Assembly Office to oversee the progress of preparation measures, including the accommodation arrangement for guests at PyihtaungSu Yeiktha. During the inspection, the Chief Minister coordinated the necessaries upon the report by officials.

Britain hosted a virtual meeting on Thursday to discuss how to secure the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Representatives from more than 40 countries attended the event. Regional Stability: Key trade route between Hpa-An and Myawaddy reopens
The Hpa-An–Kawkareik–Myawady section of the Asia Highway, a major trade route between Myanmar and Thailand, has reopened on Thursday.The road, part of the Greater Mekong Sub-region East–West Economic Corridor, is a vital link for cross-border trade and local transportation. It stretches over 165 kilometers from Duyin Seik Village in Hpa-An Township to the Myanmar–Thailand Friendship Bridge No.1.The route had been closed due to damage to roads and bridges, caused by the terrorists. Authorities have now repaired the infrastructure and restored stability, allowing the road to reopen. On the first day, a total of 640 vehicles, including passenger buses, cargo trucks, and private cars, traveled along the route between Hpa-An and Myawady. Officials are conducting inspections along the road to ensure safety, smooth travel, and faster flow of goods.mitv

The Chief Minister made encouragement, urging them to promote the prestige of the country while preserving nation’s tradition and culture.As the Thingyan Festival will be held, featuring Walking Thingyan, Thanakha Thingyan and Htamanae Thingyan, the Chief Minster urged all to participate joyously and happily.
