Rubber planters on leased forest land must pay rent by 31 Mar
The Department of Forest in Lashio District notified that those business entities granted to operate rubber farms on leased forest land are required to pay rent by 31 March 2026. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of the permit and forfeiture proceedings according to the rules stipulated in the contract farming agreement to establish a private rubber farm on the land owned by the Department of Forest.
Those who failed to pay the lease fee from the 2024-2025 financial year to 2025-2026 FY are U Win Zaw (aka) Kyarmyinshin, operating 185 acres in Heitkemper Forest Reserve in Kunlong Township, U Phami, operating 45 acres, Daw Yaminthu with 36.5 acres in Phakha, U Paukkyu with 35 acres, Daw Tin Tin Aye with 37 acres, U Lauksa (aka) U Myint Swe with 90 acres and Daw Shaukkwan with 75 acres in Phakha Forest Reserve in Hopang Township.
