Shan United celebrate 7th MNL title
Shan United held a trophy presentation ceremony and music concert on 21 March at the State Gymnasium in Taunggyi after winning the 2025-2026 season title of the Myanmar National League (MNL). The club secured its seventh league title and sixth consecutive championship.
At the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered a congratulatory speech, while club vice chairman U Htaik Khun Naung Myint Wai and players presented the championship trophies to him.
The team received K1,030 million in total honorary awards, including K30 million from the Shan State Chief minister, K700 million from Kanbawza Bank and K300 million from KBZ Life Insurance, presented through Myanmar Football Federation patron U Aung Ko Win. Club chairman U Khun Naung Myint Wai also awarded an additional K400 million to the team.
A celebratory concert followed with performances by Sai Sai Kham Leng and other artistes, as fans joined the team in celebrating the title.
Shan United have won the MNL championship seven times in the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons, becoming the league’s most successful club. The team has also achieved a record six consecutive titles and reached a milestone 100-match unbeaten run in the league.
