Japan has started giving divorced parents an option to share custody of their children. Up until now, only one parent was allowed to exercise parental rights. The change that takes place on Wednesday is based on a Civil Code revision made two years ago. Parents will discuss whether to seek joint or sole custody.If they fail to agree, a family court will decide. If a court recognizes domestic violence or child abuse in the household, sole custody will be granted. The Royal Thai Navy ship HTMS Kraburi (FFG-457) arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon in the morning of March 31 for a goodwill visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.The ship was welcomed by senior officers, officers, and other ranks of the Tatmadaw (Navy), along with the Thai Naval Attaché to Myanmar. The naval vessel's goodwill visit is led by the delegation leader, Captain Natthawat Wichakul from the Royal Thai Navy's 3rd Naval Area Command.
