The government, regarding the fight against online fraud and gambling that endangers the international community and the entire world, considers this a national duty and is actively taking measures to ensure such activities are completely eradicated from Myanmar.

In addition to domestic forces, the government is coordinating and cooperating with neighboring governments. On the afternoon of April 7, it was reported that 126 foreign nationals were arrested in Tachileik Township, Shan State (East), along with equipment used in their online scam and gambling operations.

According to intelligence that online scam and gambling activities were being conducted in Tachileik Township, Shan State (East), a joint team including security forces conducted a search. At approximately 1:30 PM, at a location about 13,000 meters northwest of Tachileik and about 3,000 meters southwest of Pan Ku  Village, they found nine buildings with zinc roofs, zinc walls, and plywood flooring. Inside, they arrested a total of 126 illegal foreign nationals, comprising 122 Chinese men and 3 Chinese women, as well as 1 Lao woman.

They also seized equipment used in online scam and gambling operations, including 120 monitors, 97 CPU units, 46 all-in-one computers, 12 StarLink devices, 12 Wi-Fi routers, 105 assorted mobile phones, and 1 large generator. The seized equipment used in online scam and gambling will be processed in accordance with established procedures.

Those arrested will be effectively prosecuted in accordance with the law. Authorities will continue to investigate and identify those involved behind the scenes and take effective legal action against them, it’s reported.

08 April 2026      The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDFs. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing government servants, monks, and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 5 April 2026 at 10:00 PM, while Ko Min (26 years old), Ko Zin Ko Ko (26 years old), U Thein Ngwe (57 years old) and U Than Hlaing (32 years old), all residents of Mee Taing Tet Village in Ye Township of Mon State, were at their respective houses, 20 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by motorcycles and abducted them, accusing them of being “Decoys”. The terrorists then took an area about one mile south of the village, where they opened fire on them. As a result, Ko Min, Ko Zin Ko Ko and U Thein Ngwe died on the spot, while U Than Hlaing Oo sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Ye Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. The government has been continuously making multifaceted efforts to ensure national peace, stability, and development, including building roads and bridges, excavating dams and embankments, and providing electricity to areas without access to power. However, the terrorist insurgents masquerading as the NUG's proxy PDF, prioritizing their own self-interests and aiming to halt government administrative mechanisms, have been recklessly planting mines, bombing and destroying government buildings, roads, bridges, and irrigation dams and embankments, as well as burning down the homes of local civilians.In this context, the terrorist insurgents claiming to be PDF have temporarily taken control of the Thaphanseik Dam and surrounding villages in Kyan Hla Township, Sagaing Region, and have been engaging in destructive activities through various means.Consequently, military columns systematically carried out necessary regroupings to recover the Thaphanseik Dam and surrounding villages with minimal damage. By dividing into columns and launching carefully controlled offensive operations with restrictions to prevent damage to buildings and machinery at the dam, they successfully recaptured the Thaphanseik Dam on March 28, and Indaing အင်တိုင်း Village, located approximately 5,000 meters west of the Dam, on the afternoon of April 6. During these operations, they seized weapons, ammunition, and related equipment from the terrorist insurgents, who fled in disarray with heavy casualties.As the PDF terrorist insurgents retreated, they set fire to and destroyed the Thaphanseik hydropower plant, resulting in the destruction and loss of power generation equipment at the plant. Additionally, they continued to burn down the homes of innocent local residents in Indaing Village, prompting security forces to conduct firefighting and necessary security procedures.The Thaphanseik is a dam that primarily supplies water to over 500,000 acres of farmland. Furthermore, the Thaphanseik hydropower plant is a facility that regularly transmits electricity to the national power grid. The destruction of this plant by fire has resulted in the loss of electricity generation capacity, thereby harming regional development.The PDF terrorist insurgents, claiming to be acting for local welfare, have in fact delayed regional development. By burning and destroying the power plant, which had no military relevance, they have drawn strong condemnation and criticism from local residents. The security forces, in coordination with responsible authorities, will expedite repair work to restore the destroyed power plant to operation as soon as possible, it’s reported.mitv

When security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, it was found that 4 April 2026 at 12:30 AM, while U Zaw Min (45 years old), his wife, Daw Soe (56 years old), his elder brother U Zaw Moe (47 years old) and his sister-in-law, Daw Myo Myo (40 years old), all residents of the village, were at their house, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and robbed them of three gold rings, a gold necklace and a mobile phone. The terrorists then opened fire on them. As a result, U Zaw Min died on the spot, while U Zaw Moe sustained gunshot wounds. The deceased and injured men were transported to Yamethin District Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.     Similarly, at 9:20 AM, on the same day, while U Myint San (63 years old), a railway guard and a resident of Ka Nyunt Kwin Ah Nout (2) Ward in Phyu Township of Bago Region, was performing his duties at Railway Track Gate No. (8) near milepost (200/1) in the ward, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, U Myint San died on the spot, it is reported.     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incidents, it is reported.MOHA
