To Lam, President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a state visit to China through Friday. During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold talks with Lam.

China hoped that through Lam’s current visit, the two countries would carry forward the traditional friendship, continue to deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, advance the building of an even higher level of community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, jointly promote the socialist cause in the world, while together maintaining regional and world peace, stability and development.

"At the invitation of China’s top diplomat Wang Yi, Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov will pay an official visit to China from April 14 to 15," Beijing's foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said a press conference. Lavrov will hold talks with China's top diplomat Wang Yi in which the two will "exchange views and coordinate positions on the development of bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues of common concern", Guo said.
