Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Saturday held talks with Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal, who is on a three-day visit to India from 5th to 7th June.

Jaishankar said that the relations between India and Nepal are built on a solid foundation of strong people-to-people contact, a shared cultural and religious heritage, and mutual trust. He further said that the present time offers an important opportunity to transform the direction of India-Nepal relations and realize the full potential of bilateral ties.
