Production costs for plastic goods have surged, leading manufacturers to raise selling prices.

Some companies have temporarily halted operations to reorganize production schedules and carry out maintenance. Demand remains weaker compared to post-COVID levels, limiting the ability of manufacturers to pass on repeated price increases.

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is distributing locally produced diesel to farmers in Nay Pyi Taw at a subsidized price to support agricultural activities.
