Central Committee on Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods held a work coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday with the attendance of Committee Chairman Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn.

The Union Minister called for collaborative efforts of concerned departments and related organizations to increase foreign exports, meeting initial export target. In addition, the Union Minister emphasized on timely repatriation of export earnings, smooth distribution of fuel and edible oil, and increase exports of CMP products.

Agricultural Loans: Loan application can be made as of May 12
The Ministry of Finance and Revenue has announced new measures to increase agricultural loan amounts as part of the 100-day plan of the new government.Keeping the interest rate at 5% per year, loans per acre have been raised up to 300,000 kyat for major crops including paddy, wheat, and others. Additional loans at 6% interest will also be available for purchasing farming equipment, from small tools to large machines like dryers and silos.The new loans for the 2026 monsoon season will begin on May 12.
