Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myo Zaw Thein visited Taungoo District in Bago Region on Friday, to inspect integrated farming systems, agricultural production, and rural development projects.

The Union Minister met with local farmers, encouraging them to work collectively under the integrated farming system to improve productivity, access quality seeds and fertilizers, and ensure sufficient irrigation. He also reviewed small-scale industries, including the DTH Specialty Coffee business, and local road development projects, emphasizing the importance of proper planning and timely completion for rural development.

The Union Minister stressed supporting livestock and aquaculture projects, promoting value-added products, and coordinating efforts across departments to boost agricultural and economic growth in rural communities.
