A workshop on Turkish coffee was held in London as part of Turkish Cuisine Week, introducing participants to its history and traditional brewing methods. The session, titled “Authentic Turkish Coffee Making,” was led by Turkish coffee expert Ayse Kapusuz.

Participants learned how to prepare coffee using a traditional cezve and were introduced to Turkish coffee’s recognition on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Foreign attendees also took part in coffee tasting accompanied by Turkish delight.

Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo inspected the ongoing interviews and discussions on legal officers’ ethics being conducted at the Legal Knowledge Dissemination Training School under the Ministry of Legal Affairs.The Union Minister and Union Attorney General stated that the Ministry of Legal Affairs issued the Code of Ethics for Legal Officers in 2017 with the aim of ensuring that legal officers possess integrity and ethical standards and become trustworthy public servants relied upon by the people.The code also aims to promote a fair, just, and impartial judicial system, uphold the rule of law and protect public interests in accordance with the law, and develop highly qualified legal officers with accountability and responsibility.She explained that the Legal Officers’ Ethics Interview Program involves ethics supervisory committees conducting individual interviews with legal officers regarding matters related to the code of ethics. She urged legal officers to thoroughly understand the code of ethics and apply it as a practical guide in their work so as to strengthen public trust and confidence in them.Afterwards, the Union Minister and Union Attorney General observed the ethics interviews being conducted by the Legal Officers’ Ethics Supervisory Committees and provided necessary guidance and instructions.The legal officers from region and state Advocate General offices, district legal offices, and township legal offices under the Ministry of Legal Affairs will continue to undergo interviews in accordance with the prescribed Legal Officers’ Ethics Interview Program conducted by the respective supervisory committees, it’s reported.mitv

Completed VDP concrete road project in northern Shan State inspected
Officials from the Department of Rural Development in Shan State (North), Tangyan District, conducted a field inspection yesterday in Namsan Village, Nangkhan Village-Tract, Tangyan Township, to review the completion of a village concrete road constructed under the Village Development Project (VDP) for the 2026-2027 financial year.The project was implemented to improve rural transport and ensure better accessibility for residents. During the inspection, District Management and Administration Committee Chairperson and District Administrator U Ko Ko Oo, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Sai Seng Sein, and District Head of the Department of Rural Development U Tin Aung Lwin inspected the completed concrete road, which measures 270 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and six inches in thickness.Following the inspection, officials met with members of the village development committee and local elders, urging residents to collectively maintain the road to prevent damage and ensure long-term sustainability.The project was implemented under the Village Development Project (VDP) using K15 million in government support funds and K1.407 million in community contributions, with a total project value of K16.407 million.
