Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi met with Pyithu Hluttaw representatives from Mandalay Region Tuesday afternoon at the auditorium of the Mandalay Region Hluttaw Office.

During the meeting, the Speaker stated that he had observed that Hluttaw representatives were actively carrying out activities for the benefit of voters and the country during the current period.

He emphasized the need for representatives to ensure there are no procedural mistakes in their work and to systematically review existing laws that are no longer in line with the current era and amend or supplement them where necessary.

He also stressed that when submitting questions in Hluttaw, representatives should raise issues that genuinely reflect the needs of the people. In addition, he said that representatives should have a detailed understanding of their constituencies and the wishes of their voters, strive to help resolve public difficulties, and become trustworthy representatives in the eyes of the people.

Next, Mandalay Region Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Kyaw Moe presented reports regarding the activities of the Third Mandalay Region Hluttaw session, after which the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker provided necessary guidance concerning the presentations.

After the meeting, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker inspected the Mandalay Region Hluttaw meeting hall and signed the guest record book. Following that, the Speaker met with MSME entrepreneurs and respected community elders from Mandalay Region and explained the work programs to be carried out by the Pyithu Hluttaw.

Attendees then discussed and presented various matters, and the Speaker explained that the legislative body would coordinate and address the issues in accordance with laws, rules, and procedures, including reviewing matters and, where necessary, enacting laws. At the end of the meeting, he warmly greeted the attendees individually, it’s reported.

The President explained that the purpose of reviewing the nation’s history was to address the problems faced throughout the country’s past experiences.He urged Union ministers and region and state chief ministers to remain mindful of the historical experiences the country has undergone. He stressed that lessons must be learned from past events to prevent similar incidents from occurring again in the future.He also pointed out the need to maintain political stability, strengthen the economy, and bring armed conflicts to an end for the sake of national security. The President further discussed matters related to international relations, politics, the economy, and security, emphasizing  the importance of broad and comprehensive thinking.He also explained the government’s efforts to ensure that all school-age children have access to education to the greatest extent possible. Afterward, Union ministers presented and discussed matters relating to their respective sectors.In response to the discussions and presentations, the President instructed region and state government officials to cooperate with relevant organizations and carry out effective on-the-ground measures to combat online gambling activities.
