The ceremony to donate printed copies of the Tipiṭaka and Aṭṭhakathā computer manuscripts to the State Ovādācariya Sayadaws, the State Saṅgha Mahānāyaka Sayadaws, and large Pariyatti monasteries with 150 or more monks in Bago Region was held Monday morning at the Buddha Atham Dhamma Beikman Hall in Bago.

The ceremony was attended by 15 venerable Sayadaw led by the presiding patron of the Kyakhatwaing Pariyatti Monastry in Bago, Aggamahāpaṇḍita Bhaddanta Nyeyadhammabhivamsa. Also present were Union Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Bago Region ministers, officials, and invited guests.

During the ceremony, the Union Minister explained matters related to religious affairs and donated the Tipiṭaka and Aṭṭhakathā computer manuscript books to the venerable Sayadaws.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with members of board of trustees to ensure that pagodas, stupas, and religious buildings in Bago Region (East) are kept clean, tidy, and admirable.

He stated that region/state governments, district, and township administrative bodies also need to supervise and manage, at various levels, the boards of trustees of prominent pagodas, stupas, and temples within their respective regions, states, and townships, it’s reported.
