The Union Minister for Information, U Htein Lin, accompanied by responsible officials, inspected the state-owned newspaper printing facilities and MRTV in Yangon in the morning on June 1st.First, the Union Minister visited the Myanma Alinn printing press in Bahan Township, where he inspected the office building, the CTP room, the printing press, and staff housing facilities. He then inspected the printing press of the Kyemon newspaper, located on 43rd Street in Botahtaung Township.Afterward, the Union Minister and officials visited Myanmar Radio and Television-MRTV on Pyay Road. There, they observed and encouraged staff involved in various productions, including the recording of the Social Economy program and the Life and Arts program in Studio 1, the recording of the Shining Stars children's program in Studio 2, News production activities in the News Studio, a modern music ensemble rehearsal in Studio D, staff vocal training sessions accompanied by the Myanma Radio Traditional Orchestra in the Radio Building's Master Room, a rehearsal by the National Symphony Orchestra in Studio B and Audio recording of a radio drama in Studio C.The Union Minister then met with officers and staff members in Studio A of MRTV.During the meeting, the Union Minister stated that the Ministry of Information is one of the country's important ministries and therefore has the responsibility to disseminate information and raise public awareness about the policies, plans, and activities being implemented by the government.He also emphasized that the media sector has a duty to provide entertainment through arts and cultural programs. Since Myanmar is an agriculture- and livestock-based country, he noted the importance of using media platforms to educate the public on agricultural and livestock-related matters. Furthermore, he stressed that, as a state-owned media organization, Myanmar Radio and Television should strive to maintain high professional standards and develop into a quality media institution.Following this, the Union Minister presented cash awards to officers and staff members in recognition of their service, it’s reported.mitv
