Authorities have demolished three illegal three-storey residential buildings in the Shwe Kokko area, Myawady Township, Kayin State, as part of ongoing joint enforcement actions against online scam and illegal gambling activities.
Officials said the buildings were previously used in online fraud and gambling operations within Shwe Kokko and KK Park and are systematically removed to prevent further illegal activities.
Out of 77 identified structures, 57 are scheduled for mechanical demolition and 20 for controlled explosive demolition. So far, 30 buildings have been demolished, with 47 remaining to be cleared.

Authorities continue crushing online scam hubs in Shwe Kokko, KK Park
Authorities have continued dismantling illegal buildings used for online fraud and illegal gambling activities in Shwe Kokko, according to official reports.The government stated that joint departmental teams are carrying out clearance operations in the Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas to prevent the continued use of illegal structures for online scam operations. Equipment used in such activities has also been systematically destroyed, while the illegal buildings are being completely demolished.During the latest phase of the operation, three three-storey residential buildings used for online scam activities were demolished using heavy machinery. The structures were among 50 buildings identified for removal, including 57 to be demolished using machinery and 20 to be destroyed by controlled explosions.Officials confirmed that three buildings have been demolished to date. The remaining 50 structures will be dismantled in subsequent phases.Authorities also stated that efforts to combat online scam networks are being undertaken as a national responsibility, in cooperation with neighbouring countries and international partners, to prevent such activities from re-establishing themselves in Myanmar. — MNA/MKKSgnlm

03 June 2026    So-called PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine attacks and bombings on public roads and bridges, using explosives devices with the aim of causing injuries to civilians and damaging infrastructure essential for regional development.    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, 1 June 2026 at 6:00 AM, security personnel conducted landmine clearance operations along the Natogyi-Pyin Si Road in Natogyi Township of Mandalay Region. During the operations, between Phat Phu Village and Shauk Taw Wa Village in Natogyi Township, security personnel discovered a total of seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted on both sides of the road by so-called PDF terrorists. The devices consisted of five PVC-pipe IEDs, each approximately six inches in diameter and one foot in length, one IED approximately 1.5 feet in length; and one iron-pipe IED, approximately one foot in diameter and 1.5 feet in length. All seven IEDs were successfully removed and cleared, it is reported.    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.moha

03 June 2026    Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 June 2026 at 9:05 AM, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into Ga Nge Ward in Launglone Township of Tanintharyi Region. A 40 mm bomb exploded within the ward. As a result, U Zaw Lat (45 years old), a resident of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Dawei Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.    Similarly, at 3:45 PM, on the same day, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into Thin Gyun Village in Thayetchaung Township. The shells exploded within the village. As a result, Daw Shwe Ngar (65 years old), U Ni Tun (60 years old) and his wife, Daw Mu (65 years old), all residents of the village, died on the spot, it is reported.    According to the above mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. PDF terrorists are recklessly carrying out landmine planting and bombings using explosives on public roads and bridges, with the aim of causing injuries to the public and destroying regional development.    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 June 2026 at 7:35 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Tanintharyi Township Public Hospital in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Hla Tun (49 years old), a resident of Chaung La Mu Village in Tanintharyi Township. According to the investigation, on 30 May 2026 at 4:30 PM, the victim was working in his orchard near the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.    Similarly, at 12:55 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries had been admitted to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Myo Htet Lwin (34 years old) and a resident of Zay Kone Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 11:45 AM, on the same day, while the victim was working in a sugar cane plantation about two furlongs east of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.    It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.moha
