Members of Ethnic Literature and Cultural Associations, alongside administrators and officials from various Regions and States, visited landmarks in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, and visited the Gandakuti building, stone plaque pagodas, and other religious buildings, where they donated cash for the comprehensive renovation of the statue.
They also attended and observed the first day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, which is being held at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Conference Hall. They studied the large lacquerware alms-bowl and 92 types of wood displayed in the reception hall, commemorating Myanmar’s traditional culture.
They then visited the Pyithu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw buildings, touring the meeting halls and Hluttaw support facilities, where officials explained the working procedures of the parliaments and shared knowledge of Hluttaw affairs.
In the afternoon, the study group visited the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes (Nay Pyi Taw) in Zeyathiri Township and paid tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe, accompanied by responsible officials, attended the training completion ceremony for Computer Training Course No. (2/2026) and Bakery Training Course No. (4/2026), which were opened with Union budget funds for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. The ceremony was held in the morning on June 4 at the Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center in Aye Tharyar, Taunggyi Township.At the ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Sai Htein Soe delivered congratulatory remarks to the trainees.Afterward, the Chief Minister presented first, second, and third prizes to outstanding trainees from the computer training course. The Ministry of Transport has announced that Letpadan and Thayawady railway stations, both historic stations with a history of more than 149 years, will be restored and preserved while maintaining their original architectural character.Letpadan Station, which was constructed when Myanma Railways first began operations along the Yangon-Pyay railway line, is more than 149 years old and is regarded as a historic station. As such, it will be carefully restored and preserved without altering its original design, in recognition of its historical value and heritage significance.Similarly, Thayawady Station, which is also more than 149 years old, is recognized as a historic heritage station. Restoration and conservation work aimed at preserving its original features is expected to begin in the near future.The Yangon-Pyay railway line is a metre-gauge railway (with a distance of one metre between the two rails) linking Yangon with Pyay in the western part of Bago Region. It is recognized as the first railway line ever constructed in Myanmar.Construction of the Yangon-Pyay railway line began in September 1874, and the line was officially opened on 1 May 1877.
