He stressed that emphasis are needed for steel production process since it is essential for the nation development. He also highlighted on drafting the SOP for production, readiness of human resources and raw materials, and transferring technologies from the experts. He urged all to strive for meeting the target of producing 200 tons of Billet under the national development plan. Officials presented the work progress and the Union Minister gave closing remarks.

Technology Transfer: Meeting with Indian experts at Myingyan Steel Mill
Union Minister for Industry and MSMEs Development Dr. Charlie Than met with Indian experts participating in the No. 1 Steel Mill (Myingyan) Project at the office of the Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department in Nyaung Oo District, Mandalay Region, on 6 June.During the meeting, the Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the participation of experts in steel production, stating that the No. 1 Foundry was able to begin operations for iron smelting in 2023 and produced 28,000 tons of billets.
