Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 January 2026 at 11:00 AM, a combined group of KNU and so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs and firing heavy weapons at Ka Yin Ni Kone Village in Htantabin Township of Bago Region. The bombs and shells exploded within the compound of the Sub Basic Education Secondary School in the village. As a result, an office building measuring 90 feet in length and 30 feet in width, and a school building measuring 28 feet in length and 18 feet in width, were damaged by the blasts. However, no one was injured, it is reported.
According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
